Spence Brothers (https://www.spencebrothers.com/) is headquartered in Saginaw, Michigan with satellite offices in Traverse City and Ann Arbor. Spence serves the entire State of Michigan. Spence Brothers is a general contractor that takes complex construction projects from conception to completion. They have worked on numerous large scale projects, including the Crisler Center renovation at the University of Michigan.

The Spence Brothers’ website was in need of a renovation. Formcode designed and built their previous iteration nearly a decade ago. While it still looked good, the marketplace and Spence’s priorities have shifted over the years which facilitated a complete redesign of their online presence. Formcode continued one being Spence Brothers Agency of Record and has created a new, refined, and clean website that helped refine their focus and simplified things a bit  in an effort to inject a bit of timelessness into the project.

The homepage features a highly impactful video that plays beneath the main headline and calls to action on the hero. The rest of the homepage presents sections that give the user a glimpse into who Spence is, what they do, and how they do it. The internal pages were reorganized to prioritize Spence’s story of how  they came to be, including a timeline and their current leadership. Additionally, the Project Portfolio pages were updated and refined to better showcase their work, this includes how the projects are categorized and displayed. Hiring is very important to Spence. In working with our contact there, Formcode designed and built a Careers paget that walks prospective employees through Spence’s culture and open positions. Formcode also redesigned their Bid List page, which is a crucial part of any construction company that works with the state and local governments to have displayed on their public website. Rounding out the revamped site are redesigned pages that provide information on Spence’s value proposition and what makes them better than their competitors.
